Plant Tissue Culture has significantly contributed to many biotechnologies such as for the  multiplication of the plants those are having       difficulty in their natural propagation, multiplication of the superior (elite) plants,   production of secondary metabolites and rapid multiplication of the genetically             engineered plant/s. Also to assist farmer to increase the yields of their crops by providing       superior planting material in time, different tissue      culture firms and international tissue culture laboratories are establishing  Plant Tissue    culture  Pilot Plant.

This three days workshop emphasizes extensively on laboratory work and techniques associated  with plant tissue culture. Laboratory work includes      hands - on media preparation, surface decontamination, inoculation techniques and data interpretations,  Participants will complete this workshop with the skills and knowledge of plant  tissue culture      techniques.

Attendees who will benefit from these workshop    include laboratory assistants, research officers,        biomedical science students, biotechnology students, scientists in R & D in bio pharmaceutical and    biotechnology industries.
